FVCA is excited to introduce the chess after-school program to James Kennedy Elementary School in Fall 2024. The registrations are now OPEN on a first come, first serve basis. Registration deadline is Sep 30th, 2024. We ensure that the students are divided by skill level during the classroom activities. The program is available to JKE students from grades 1 to 7.

The topics covered in this course shall be based on our Naughty Knights & Relentless Rooks chess curriculum that is designed by our in-house team of instructors/ chess experts. For course overview, please refer the following link: https://fraservalleychess.com/lessons/

Below are the details of the program:

Start date: Oct 1st, 2024 (Tue)
End date: Dec 3rd, 2024 (Tue)
Timings: every Tuesday 2:40 pm to 4:10 pm
Total number of sessions in this term: 10 (Each session is 90 min)
Registration fee: $250 + GST (Up to 36 students)
All chess equipment and classroom materials are provided by Fraser Valley Chess Academy.

– Registration will be on a first come first serve basis for paid students only.
– Full refund can be requested via email before the program starts.
– After the program starts, cancellation can be accepted within the first 2 weeks with a pro-rated refund for balance sessions.
– After week 3, there will be no refunds issued for cancellation/ drop-outs.
– An administrative & processing fee of $10 is deducted for all refunds (full/ partial).
– No refunds or credits for regular student absence, unless there is a long leave of absence due to emergency.
