Registration to our Summer Break 2026 Chess Camps is now open! For our Langley location, select from our full-day and half-day weekly camps offered across all weeks of the spring break. Open to all skill level and all ages KG and up.

Camps Schedule:

Week 1: June 29th to July 3rd, 2026: No Camp
Week 2: July 6th to 10th, 2026 (5 days): Available
Week 3: July 13th to 17th, 2026 (5 days): Available
Week 4: July 20th to 24th, 2026 (5 days): Available
Week 5: July 30th to Aug 3rd, 2026:  No Camp due to a 9 round classical tournament, the Summer 2026 Champions OPEN
Week 6: Aug 4th to Aug 7th, 2026 (4 days): Available
Week 7: Aug 10th to Aug 14th, 2026 (5 days): Available
Week 8: Aug 17th to Aug 21st, 2026 (5 days): Available
Week 9: Aug 24th to 28th, 2026: No Camp
Week 10: Aug 31st to Sept 4th, 2026: No Camp

Full-day camps: 9am to 4:30pm daily. Extended care available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at a nominal fee.
Half-day morning camps: 9am to 12:30pm daily. Parents to pick-up before 12:45pm.
Half-day afternoon camps: 1pm to 4:30pm daily. Extended care available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at a nominal fee.

Location: Fraser Valley Chess Academy, Unit 108 – 20486 64 Avenue, Langley, BC.

Registration is on a first-come basis! Admission fee range: CAD $290 – $495.

What to expect:
– Various classroom activities based on current skill level at chess.
– Separate pods as per grades in school/ age group.
– 3 breaks each for full day camps (total 1 hour): 15 min/ 30 min/ 15 min.
– Puzzle solving contest with explanation on strategy.
– Grandmaster game analysis with focus on key ideas that can be implemented in their gameplay.
– Personal feedback for each student on their areas of improvement/ strengths.
– Tournament style practice with post game analysis from our experts.
– Unrated standard chess tournament with prizes.
– Casual Bughouse tournament with prizes.
– Introduction to Chess 960 and its implementation in positional play.
– Fun-filled activities with short breaks to keep the kids engaged and fresh throughout the camp.
– Safe learning environment (indoors). Kids to carry their own lunch. Snacks may be provided.

1. We offer sibling discounts. Register the first kid at regular price and email us to obtain a custom promo code for a 10% discount on each additional sibling. Siblings can register in the same or different camp.

2. Register for a chess camp and get 10% off on an equivalent Robotics & Coding camp. Email us to obtain a custom promo code after registration of the first camp. For instance, you can sign up for 2 half-day camps in the same week or 2 separate full day weekly camps (Chess & STEM). Check out our STEM camps offered by Zebra Robotics, Langley.

All full day camps run from 9am to 4:30pm with 3 breaks included. Total break time will be 60 min split into 2 short breaks of 15 min each and a lunch break of 30 min. You can opt for an extended care period from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the next section if need be.

Policies and Guidelines:

1. Any player/ parent/ guardian with frequent coughing, sneezing, other visible symptoms of illness may be asked to withdraw from the camp/ leave the premises.
2. If you have experienced COVID-19 or its symptoms in past 14 days, we request you to voluntarily withdraw from the tournament for health and safety of all our patrons. Face masks are recommended for all.
3. Anyone entering the venue premises consents to being photographed/ videos recorded. This footage may be used for internal references, social media marketing or promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be clicked/ recorded/ promoted – you may contact us via email and we will take care of your request.
4 Decision of the event organizers will be final in the event of a conflict.
5. Parents are requested to drop-off and pick-up the kids on time. We cannot take responsibility of the students after completion of camp timings.
