Our 2026 Chess Camps—running throughout Spring, Summer, and Winter Break—are now open at our Langley location, with flexible full-day and half-day weekly options for students from Kindergarten and up, at all skill levels. Campers are grouped by age and experience and enjoy skill-based lessons, puzzle challenges, game analysis, and tournament-style play with expert feedback.

Families attending camp at our Langley location can also mix and match camps with STEM programs offered by Zebra Robotics Langley on the same premises, creating full-day options with half-day Chess and half-day STEM. As these two camps are on the same premises and in different classrooms, the instructors will manage students moving from classroom to classroom for full day camps that attend both Chess and STEM programs, so pickup is necessary for this changeover.

Langley Schedule:
Full-day camps ($495 + GST): 9am to 4:30pm daily. Extended care available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at a nominal fee.
Half-day morning camps ($290 + GST) : 9am to 12:30pm daily. Parents to pick-up before 12:45pm.
Half-day afternoon camps ($290 + GST): 1pm to 4:30pm daily. Extended care available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at a nominal fee.

Port Coquitlam Schedule:
This summer, we are happy to be offering a discounted rate for camps at Pitt River Middle School Port Coquitlam at a half-day rate of $125 + GST per student.
Half Day Chess + Math afternoon camp, Week 3 ($125 + GST): 12pm to 3pm. Parents to pick up before 3:15pm.
Half Day Chess + Math morning camp, Week 4 ($125 + GST): 9am to 12pm. Parents to pick up before 12:15pm

What to expect:
– Various classroom activities based on current skill level at chess.
– Separate pods as per grades in school/ age group.
– 3 breaks each for full day camps (total 1 hour): 15 min/ 30 min/ 15 min.
– Puzzle solving contest with explanation on strategy.
– Grandmaster game analysis with focus on key ideas that can be implemented in their game-play.
– Personal feedback for each student on their areas of improvement/ strengths.
– Tournament style practice with post game analysis from our experts.
– Unrated standard chess tournament with prizes.
– Casual Bughouse tournament with prizes.
– Introduction to Chess 960 and its implementation in positional play.
– Fun-filled activities with short breaks to keep the kids engaged and fresh throughout the camp.
– Safe learning environment (indoors). Kids to carry their own lunch. Snacks may be provided.

Policies and Guidelines:

1. Any player/ parent/ guardian with frequent coughing, sneezing, other visible symptoms of illness may be asked to withdraw from the camp/ leave the premises.
2. If you have experienced COVID-19 or its symptoms in past 14 days, we request you to voluntarily withdraw from the tournament for health and safety of all our patrons. Face masks are recommended for all.
3. Anyone entering the venue premises consents to being photographed/ videos recorded. This footage may be used for internal references, social media marketing or promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be clicked/ recorded/ promoted – you may contact us via email and we will take care of your request.
4 Decision of the event organizers will be final in the event of a conflict.
5. Parents are requested to drop-off and pick-up the kids on time. We cannot take responsibility of the students after completion of camp timings.
