Welcome to our Abbotsford chess hub! Chess is getting very popular in Abbotsford, and it’s our mission is to help introduce chess to kids at the grassroots level through clubs, lessons, and casual and rated tournaments in partnership with the Abbotsford Chess Club, a voluntary effort led by Kyle Van Dijk.

Timings: Every Mon (6pm to 9pm)
Join us at chess club, where players of all ages and skill levels can come practice with each other in a friendly environment. Pre-registration on our website required. Join using the link below.
FVCC Monthly Blitz | 9 rounds, 3 min + 2 sec
We’ve extended our Fraser Valley Chess Club Blitz series to our Abbotsford club location! Join us for a monthly unrated blitz tournament, where you have a chance to get on the leaderboard!
Entry fee: $15 (50% off for club members).
Prize pool is 60% of event entries.

Picky Pawns (Unrated to ELO 599) – $159 + GST per month
Tue, 5 pm to 6 pm (60 min)
Naughty Knights (For ELO 600 to 1099) – $189 + GST per month
Tue, 5:30 pm to 7 pm (90 min)
Relentless Rooks (For ELO 1100 to 1399) – $209 + GST per month
Tue, 6 pm to 8 pm (2 hours)
