Welcome to Fraser Valley Chess Academy’s Maple Ridge Chess Hub! As chess continues to grow in popularity across Maple Ridge, we’re committed to helping children develop their skills through engaging chess lessons, clubs, and tournaments.
In partnership with Kalianda One Athletics, we offer high-quality chess programs for players of all skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced tournament players. Our programs include weekly lessons, chess clubs, and casual and CFC-rated tournaments in a fun, supportive learning environment.

Join us at chess club, where players of all ages and skill levels can come practice with each other in a friendly environment. Pre-registration on our website required. Join using the link below.
FVCC Monthly Blitz | 9 rounds, 3 min + 2 sec
We’ve extended our Fraser Valley Chess Club Blitz series to our Maple Ridge club location! Join us for a monthly unrated blitz tournament, where you have a chance to get on the leaderboard!
Entry fee: $15 (50% off for club members).
Prize pool is 60% of event entries.

Fri, 5 pm to 6 pm (60 min)
Naughty Knights (For ELO 600 to 1099) – $189 + GST per month
Fri, 5:30 pm to 7 pm (90 min)
Relentless Rooks (For ELO 1100 to 1399) – $209 + GST per month
Fri, 6 pm to 8 pm (2 hours)
