Crescent Heights Fall 2025 Chess After-School Program

We are excited to welcome back the students at Crescent Heights after the summer break! The Chess program at Crescent Heights for the Fall 2025 term is now open for registration. The programs is proudly organized by Fraser Valley Chess Academy.

All Grade 3 to 5 Crescent Heights students are eligible to enroll in the program regardless of whether you participated last term.

Program Schedule: every Monday 3:15pm to 4:15pm, September 29th, 2025 to November 24th, 2025, no session on October 13th and November 10th, for a total of 7 sessions.
Per student fee: $184 + GST

There will also be an option to subscribe to our Chess Student Portal. For the duration of September to November, this portal gives students access to our proprietary curriculum, practice through frequent online tournaments, challenge bots to increase their strength, and for us to track their progress, assignment homework, analyze their Lichess/ Chess.com games and much more.

Even more exciting news for chess students: in 2026, Fraser Valley Chess Academy will be the organizer for the BC Youth Chess Championship for the first time! This is the official qualifier in BC for the 2026 Canadian Youth Chess Championship. We encourage our students to sign up for this exciting tournament for a chance to compete against hundreds of promising youth players from all across BC. Terms & Conditions:
– Registration will be on a first come first serve basis for paid students only. 
– Full refund can be requested via email before the program starts. A $20 admin + processing fee deduction shall apply on all refunds. 
– After the program starts, cancellation can be accepted within the first 2 weeks with a pro-rated refund for balance sessions.  
– After week 3, there will be no refunds issued for cancellation/ drop-outs. 
– No refunds or credits for regular student absence, unless there is a long leave of absence due to emergency.

The fee is $25 + GST per student, per session.
If you need to change the student's walk-home permission later on, please email us at [email protected].
For the duration of April to June, this give students access to our proprietary curriculum, practice through frequent online tournaments, challenge bots to increase their strength, and for us to track their progress, assignment homework, analyze their Lichess/ Chess.com games and much more.

After November, you can retain access to the portal at a $10/ month subscription fee. To do so, you can email us at [email protected].
BC Youth Chess Championship is the official qualifier in BC for the 2026 Canadian Youth Chess Championship. Score 50% or more in any section of BCYCC 2026 to qualify for the same section in CYCC 2026.
