FIDE + CFC Rated Tournaments 2026

On popular demand, we have pledged to offer more FIDE-rated tournaments aimed at expanding opportunities for players across the USA, Canada, and other countries to gain valuable competitive experience, earn FIDE and CFC ratings, and pursue norm possibilities for players and arbiters.

With this vision in mind, we are offering a series of tournaments bundles, allowing players to experience diverse competition against a wide range of opponents at different times of the year, based on their schedule.

The CFC (Canadian Chess Federation) represents Canada to the world as a member of FIDE, the international chess body. As a CFC member, you have access to all CFC rated events across Canada, and will obtain national CFC chess ratings. There are two types of CFC ratings: Regular, and Quick. Long story short, all tournaments with long games (60+ min per player) use your CFC regular rating. Tournaments with shorter games (< 60 min per player) use your CFC quick rating. They are different ratings and do NOT overlap. This tournament uses CFC Regular ratings** If not, you have to do it yourself using the following link: https://www.chess.ca/en/players/membership-join/
In the event you win prize money, we may e-transfer you the amount. The security answer for e-transfers is: FVCA.
