Welcome to the 4th Annual BC Inter-School Chess Championship! This year we are hosting this event on the Khalsa School Newton campus in Surrey, BC. Bring your chess club and friends, compete as a team, and win prizes! For the first time, all sections will be playing in a Classical format, by popular demand. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience and receive a valuable Classical rating. We are also adding a University Open section, open to Post-Secondary students and staff. To participate you must be verified with a valid Post-Secondary Student or Staff ID.
The sections are as follows: KG-G2, G3-G5 G6-G8, G9-G12, and University.
We are also excited to be hosting a Bonus Blitz tournament at the end of Day 1 on May 30th!
Guaranteed prizes are worth $3000+ plus medals and trophies for individual/ best school positions. Various other spot prizes and certificate of participation for all players. Students across KG to university can register via school sponsorship or parents can register directly (players get to represent their school in either case).
